The CAN CAN group holds various events a few times a year, whether by having a teatime assembly, or by having an interesting
talk, or by presenting art exhibitions. Sometimes music evenings are held at the church.

On the evening of the 17th of May a wonderful fundraising drive was held for CAN CAN. Wilma van der Bijl was the guest speaker at this highly successful fundraising event. Among others, a fashion show was presented by Boutique 4U. Delicious snacks were available and during the auction beautiful jackets were sold.
CAN CAN made a profit with these events, to such an extent that the group were capable to support cancer patients with more that just traveling costs to the Cape.
On July 29, 2011 the ATKV gave an exceptional donation to help CAN CAN in it's endeavours. Thank you to all the members of the ATKV for this assistance. You wonderful support will really help persons in need.
All honour to our Heavenly Father who made this possible for us.

Who or what is CAN CAN?
CAN CAN was originally established out of gratitude for healing from cancer. Although we only have a few members, CAN CAN is growing and we hope to be able to extend this grateful charitable service.
CAN CAN is solely a cancer-aid organization for Calvinia and the surrounding areas.
Briefly: The compilation of the CAN CAN name was subtracted from the following:
The first CAN stands for Christ As Navigator and the second CAN comes from the old registration number plate for Calvinia which was CAN.
